Foods that we might consume in the wrong way

Whether you are on a diet or just followers of healthy eating in general, fruits and vegetables are the ingredients chosen for health and energy.

It is very important the way that we eat those types of food. The list below contains a number of foods that are consumed mostly incorrectly. The first such foods are strawberries, which most often are cut before being consumed. Whole strawberries contain up to 12% more vitamin C than cut fruits because the latter lose some of vitamins when exposed to light and oxygen.

On this list we also have broccoli, where the ideal method of cooking is steaming, though often are boiled or stewed. By steaming, the vegetables preserve the substances with anticancer properties, especially broccoli and cauliflower.

A common mistake is the fact that the bottle of wine is often left without the cork before being drunk. It should be drunk immediately after opening the bottle, because then loses its properties by damaging organic acids and polyphenols, which have benefits for health, maintaining normal blood flow, helping improve heart health and depression.

Another incorrect myth is related to frozen foods, most often being avoided because most people think that they are devoid of vitamins. Researchers found that frozen fruits and vegetables contain a greater amount of antioxidants, including polyphenols, vitamin C and beta-carotene than the fresh ones.
